NURS 198B - Basic Nursing Concept Clinical II Credits: 1
NURS 198B builds upon the skills in NURS 198A - Basic Nursing Concepts Clinical I . Students use physiological and psychosocial concepts to provide care for clients with stable, well-defined problems as a member of the health care team. Students will apply skills using professionalism, communication, planning, and caring interventions in a variety of settings. Clinical experiences encompass restorative and supportive nursing skills that protect, promote, and optimize client health/abilities as well as prevent client illness/injury and alleviate suffering.
Pre-Requisites: NURS 121 - Basic Nursing Concepts I , NURS 198A - Basic Nursing Concepts Clinical I , CHEM 115 - Introductory Chemistry /CHEM 115L - Introductory Chemistry Lab , BIOL 111A - Concepts of Biology Lecture , and PSYC 111 - Introduction to Psychology .
