SCNC 389 - Scientific Writings and Readings


Credits: 2

Provide students with the skills to read and write scientific professional publications and journal articles. Course will include reading and discussion of scientific principles, ethics, and rationale. Students will have instruction and practice in writing about science clearly, accurately and concisely. Students will learn how to produce professional quality publications and journal articles. Emphasis will be on the natural sciences. This course is part of the university’s Writing Across the Curriculum/Writing in the Disciplines program. Students strongly advised to complete this course during sophomore year.

Pre-Requisites: Any natural science course with a lab and ENGL 120 - College Composition II  or ENGL 121H - Honors Composition II  or equivalent course.
