ELED 383 - Diagnosis, Intervention and Assessment of Reading Credits: 3
Students will experience the process of identifying children’s reading deficiencies and the process of developing an instructional plan through the assessment process. Students will learn to administer and interpret a wide variety of individual informal and formal assessment instruments. A lab experience consists of working directly with children to assess, plan, and provide intervention for identified needs. An emphasis will be placed on creating Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
Pre-Requisites: Admission to Teacher Education and ELED 281 - Foundations of Teaching Reading in the Elementary Classroom . Co-Requisites: ELED 484 - Practicum in Reading . Offered: Fall, Summer
